Dr. Shepherd Goes Above and Beyond
I had been experiencing neck, shoulder and back pain for about a year. I saw an orthopedic doctor who recommended seeing a chiropractor. I was receiving manual manipulations and was prescribed exercises but I received little relief. I decided to try another method of chiropractic adjusting and found Dr. Shepherd, who uses the Activator Method.
My shoulder pain has disappeared and my back feels looser and stronger. Through chiropractic care and the support of the whole office, I have a heightened sense of my body and health. This has had an overall positive impact not just on my back but on my stress and anxiety levels! I’ve also noticed that I haven’t been as affected by the post-holiday blues.
Dr. Shepherd has gone above-and-beyond his regular office duties. He visited our office to conduct an ergonomic analysis of our desks and chairs and helped to insure that we got the right equipment. Cheryl has been super helpful with the insurance and the whole office has a calming and positive effect. I also like the commitment to well-being with the holiday “games” focused on gratitude, family and joy! I highly recommend Shepherd Family Chiropractic – you won’t regret it!

Highly Recommend
I met Dr. Shepherd at a Business Networking International (BNI) meeting a few months ago. I had been experiencing neck pain and after a conversation with Dr. Shepherd, I thought that Chiropractic might help to give me relief.
Dr. Shepherd has been fantastic! He is patient and thorough. I have made incredible progress since beginning chiropractic care. For me, identifying the various back and shoulder pain was difficult, but Dr. Shepherd was able to find and address the “hot spots.” He recommended specific exercises that have helped to strengthen the weakness in my lower back (which I didn’t even realize I was dealing with). Wow! I felt a difference in lowering my pain level right away.

Help After Car Accident
While living in California, I was rear-ended by another vehicle while sitting at a stop light. My head was whiplashed and I experienced jarring and painful tightness in my neck and shoulders. I felt these symptoms as soon as one hour after the collision. An MD recommended muscle relaxing injections, which did cause some temporary relief. I received a few chiropractic adjustments, which did provide some relief as well. I moved to Seattle and saw the sign for Shepherd Family Chiropractic and decided to make an appointment.
I have experienced profound relief in my neck and shoulders without any invasive treatment. My neck pain is almost completely gone and my spine is gaining strength. I have never experienced such productive and non-invasive chiropractic care. The appointments are quick and easy. The entire staff have been very kind to me.

Pain Relief from Shoulder Blader & Arm
I came to Dr. Shepherd because of pain in my right upper shoulder blade, which radiated down my arm. My symptoms began after waking up one morning. At times it was a sharp pain, but there was always intense aching causing me to have to adjust my movements. Bringing my arm into extension caused aching and throbbing down into my elbow. The pain in my shoulder and arm was affecting my sleep, my ability to drive, and to reach for items. For six weeks I was managing my pain with 1200 mg of ibuprofen a day.
After a month of chiropractic treatment with Dr. Shepherd, my shoulder is doing wonderful and the pain no longer radiates. I’m sleeping better and able to spend longer periods of time doing what I enjoy.

Migraine Relief
I had been experiencing migraine headaches since the 1980’s. I had visited medical doctors, a neurosurgeon and an ENT. Their recommendation for treatment was medication and physical therapy. With those treatments, I did feel some relief.
My husband had visited Dr. Shepherd’s office on a sales call for his company. He learned about the Activator Method of Adjusting and thought that I might be able to benefit from chiropractic care.
Since beginning care at Shepherd Family Chiropractic I have noticed that i am feeling relief from neck and back pain. Migraines occur randomly but I have noticed that they are fewer.

Chiropractic Adjustments and Laser Helped Me!
I am a chiropractor and have been under regular chiropractic care for over 40 years. Earlier this year I developed a frozen shoulder issue. I couldn’t raise my arm very high and the movement was very painful. I was seeing my chiropractor for care but was experiencing very little improvement.
Dr. Shepherd was teaching at an Activator Seminar in Portland, OR. I knew Dr. Shepherd was in Seattle so I contacted his office. My care consisted of receiving chiropractic adjustments and Low-Level Laser Therapy (Cold Laser). Over the last three months of care I can happily say that my condition has improved 90%!
I truly appreciate Dr. Shepherd’s knowledge and expertise, his wonderful and caring heart, and his friendly and concerned staff. They have all contributed to my healing process.

Sacroiliac Pain Relief
I was experiencing pain in my right sacroiliac joint. I was taking Advil, which helped to relieve the pain, but the pain didn’t go away. I consulted with an MD, who referred me to a Physical Therapist. I did receive some relief from performing prescribed exercises but I didn’t feel it was enough.
I met Dr. Shepherd at a local Chamber Business Expo. Since beginning chiropractic care, I have fewer incidences of sacroiliac pain. The adjustments help me to find relief much quicker. I find that I have been able to become more active once again, including riding my bicycle.
