You Are Your Own Best Healer
We strive to help you by restoring spinal balance, which aids the body in healing itself. A wide variety of health problems such as headaches, neck pain, sciatica, allergies, jaw disorders, joint pain, earaches, colic and low back pain can stem from spinal imbalance and dysfunction of the spinal joints and nervous system. Everyday living, stress and old injuries can cause vertebrae to lose their proper position or motion. This dysfunction can irritate your nervous system, causing pain and nerve interference throughout the body. Through gentle, effective adjustments by a Chiropractor, your body is given the chance to do what it does best: heal itself!

DR. SHEPHERD, Chiropractor
Dr. Shepherd grew up in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. His college adventures took him to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the University of Iowa and Western Washington State College.
During his college career, Dr. Shepherd was a competitive springboard diver and during one unfortunate diving practice, Dr. Shepherd injured his lower back. He sought care from his family doctor which failed to resolve his condition. A referral from his diving coach to a well-known Chiropractor, Dr. Joe Stucky, changed his life. His lower back condition quickly improved. The concepts of Chiropractic fascinated Dr. Shepherd so much that he changed his course of study from Pre-Dentistry to Pre-Chiropractic.
Dr. Shepherd has been in private practice since 1981, when he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Since 1983 he has specialized in the Activator Method of Adjusting. In 1992 he became an instructor for Activator Methods International, and is now a Senior Clinical Instructor. Teaching takes him across the country sharing his knowledge of Activator and Chiropractic with other doctors.
Dr. Shepherd has owned and operated practices in Illinois and Maine. Currently he resides in Seattle with his wife, Cheryl. Outside of the office he enjoys fly-fishing, hiking and spending time with his grandson, family and friends.
